A fantastic show, and a busy month

Wednesday 29 May 2013 - 22:11:24

Nearly 900 people showed up for the awesome show at the Water Street Music Hall on May 4th! We want to thank everyone involved, especially Budweiser and 100.5 The Drive for their help putting on a great show! We will be back sometime in the fall for another show at Water Street!!!

Next up, we have a busy June coming up with some out of town dates for those who have been asking! First up is the awesome East End Festival!
Facebook Event link
Big Eyed Phish will be headlining the main stage on Friday, June 14th - in the Easy On East parkinglot. Show time will be 9pm-11pm! Come early to enjoy 11 other great bands that are playing the festival. You will recognize some names on the festival lineup - like opening acts The Driftwood Sailors and Moon Zombies from previous Water Street shows. These guys are awesome - so come out and enjoy some other bands early on that day!

Then, at the end of June, Big Eyed Phish is going on "tour"! 4 days in a row! Starting on June 26th - headlining at Presque Isle Concert Series in Erie, PA! We are still working out a venue for Thursday, June 27th. Friday, it has been confirmed that we will be rocking out in Buffalo and returning to THE TRALF! Tickets and more details for that show coming soon. Then, to cap off the week, we are back in Rochester and we will be rocking out at NOLA's in Charlotte Beach. The stage and setup at NOLAs is unbeatable for the summer, so can't wait to see a lot of our fans for that show!

We are also working on a date in Saratoga/Albany area!! So stay tuned!

Do you have a place you want BEP to play? Looking to hire for a private party or give the ultimate present for a DMB fan? Email us at booking@bigeyedphish.com for details.

See ya this June!!!!

Its that time again - WATER STREET MUSIC HALL - May 4th!

Thursday 11 April 2013 - 14:18:44

My apologies for slacking off on updating our news items! I didn't realize it had been so long!
So a big question is "where have you guys been" - well a couple things. We have some new family members (both Brian (keyboards) and Karl (drums) significant others had babies!) - along with a few job changes and more - has caused us to put playing a lot of shows on hold for a bit. We have also been looking for a booking agency to take over for us! BUT - hopefully we are over those hurdles and you should be seeing some shows popping up in your area (Rochester, Syracuse, Buffalo, Erie, Cortland, Albany, Saratoga, etc...!!!)
We are also of course working on our summer schedule as well!

of FIRST IMPORTANCE THOUGH...is our show at Water Street on May 4th! We are joined by 2 fantastic bands - including a Zac Brown Tribute Band that will be playing right before us. Also joining us is a local original band called the Moon Zombies! It will be one of our best shows yet!

Please do us a favor - Join the facebook event!

Then invite your friends to the event! Tell everyone you know!

I know I know..."HOW CAN I GET TICKETS" is on all of your minds! Well here are a few ways:
1) Contact a band member - we all have tickets on us to sell! ($10)
2) Get them online! http://waterstreetmusic.frontgatetickets.com/choose.php?a=1&lid=78675&eid=88729 ($10 + small service fee)
3) Get them at the door! ($15)

No matter what you do, make sure you get your tickets!

Looking forward to fall/winter!!

Thursday 20 September 2012 - 12:34:15

We had a great summer and appreciate everyone that came out to all the shows. From the festivals, to the concert series, to the colleges, to the live music venues - it was all quite a blast! We are starting to ramp up for our fall and winter dates! Stay tuned as we announce some awesome new dates coming up! New cities, new colleges, new music venues - as well as a whole lot of the events and gigs we played last year! Some highlights include a new Water Street date, a 3-day show at Jay Peak Ski and Waterpark resort, Oktoberfest in Fairport, and a few private parties in different areas of the northeast!

We look forwarding to see all of our fans out and about over the next couple of months! See you soon!!!

Thank you and coming up: SARATOGA SPRINGS!

Monday 07 May 2012 - 08:41:45

We wanted to thank the hundreds that attended the show at Water Street. We had a great time and from the comments we heard, it seems the crowd did as well. A big thank you to our awesome opening band The Driftwood Sailors as well! They put on a great show and definitely warmed up the crowd! You will see us out in the audience at more of their shows! We will likely be planning another Water Street show in 6 months or so! But lots to do before then!!!!

Next up for us is a big show at the Vapor Nightclub in the Saratoga Springs Racino. We have had a few great shows in Saratoga and are now extremely excited to be moving up to the casino/racetrack. This is a FREE show to the public. See folks in the Albany/Saratoga area THIS FRIDAY (5/11)!

Cinco De Mayo with BIG EYED PHISH at Water Street Music Hall!

Wednesday 22 February 2012 - 12:08:40

The band has taken a small break since the Buffalo show in order to work on some new tunes to be ready in time for the big show at Water Street Music Hall!. As always, we absolutely can't wait to rock out for our hometown fans in Rochester! We always have a great show there thanks to our friends, fans, and especially our sponsors Budweiser and 100.5 The Drive!

This show is going to be even more fun, since it falls on "Cinco De Mayo". We heavily encourage people to come with beads and any other cinco de mayo style of attire!

We will be joined on stage by yet another fantastic local original band called "Amanda Lee Peers and the Driftwood Sailors". Driftwood Sailors on Facebook. Amanda Lee Peers was a previous Lovin Cup Idol winner. (Lovin Cup Idol is an "American Idol" type competition that a local Rochester bar puts on which has become a highly successful event!). The band brings an awesome female-fronted blues/jam band fusion to the stage and we are sure our audience will enjoy them.

As always, the facebook event!!! Click on it! Invite your friends! Share it! All that other good stuff that helps get the word out about the show:

This show is again sponsored by Budweiser and the awesome folks over at 100.5 The Drive! Check out 100.5 to listen to your favorite DMB tunes, as well as the awesome DJ's JP and Julie!!! Oh and you might hear a commercial or 4 about the show while you are there!

We are back for 2012 with some new venues and more shows!!!

Tuesday 17 January 2012 - 14:28:57

After a bit of time off to relax and work on some new stuff, the band is back and ready to rock out in cities across the north east. Already we have shows planned in new areas that we are all very excited about visiting!

First up for us will be a show at Red Square in Albany on Jan 28th! Our first official time playing in Albany! We will be joined by local Albany band Summer of Doug as an opening act. Tickets are on sale now! $9 in advance and $12 at the door. As a note, there is a $5 door fee for anyone under 18-20 years old. (18+ to get in). The band sadly had no control over this aspect. That door fee is collected...wait for it...at the door! So it is not included in any ticket price.

Check out the link here for tickets: http://redsquarealbany.tickets.musictoday.com/RedSquareAlbany/moreInfo.aspx?event=147374&outlet=1450

Only 350 available! So advanced sale is suggested!

Big thanks to CRUSH 105.7 and Budweiser for sponsoring the show! Going to be a great time! Hope to see you all there!

Other shows coming up include a great return to Buffalo on Feb 25th at The Tralf with opening act Tim Britt and Off the Cuff!

Then the first week in March, we are heading out to Ohio! stops in Cleveland and Toledo! Details on that coming soon!

Another great year - 1 more show!

Monday 05 December 2011 - 15:38:18

We want to thank everyone who has made our 2012 one of the best and most successful years for the band! We have had a great time traveling to many different areas and playing in front of many new faces! We also want to thank those who have traveled with us to different areas so that we get to see some familiar faces in the crowds as well! A special thank you to everyone who came out to Water Street for the show a few weeks ago! We had an absolute blast rocking the stage to so many of you! Hopefully you guys enjoyed MoChester as well!

We have 1 more show lined up for 2012, and then a small break while we work on some original tunes and get some more DMB tunes down! We will be playing at Q's in Caledonia on December 16th!. Tickets are on sale at the venue (call or in-person). They are $10 in advance and $15 at the door! This is going to be another great show at a cool new venue for us! Certainly hope to see many of you there. Our regular concert schedule should resume around the end of January or beginning of February!

See you at Q's!!! (Or in 2012!)

Thanks again to everyone who has made Big Eyed Phish what it is!

Signed,
Brian, Brandon, Karl, Dan, Chris (The Doctor), Mike, Collin, and Tony!

Its that time again!

Wednesday 26 October 2011 - 13:30:27

Whats up this fall?

Tuesday 04 October 2011 - 12:29:22

Our apologies for the delay in updating our news! We had an absolute fantastic time at both SummerSounds in Greensburg and at Park Point to wind down our summer. It has been nice to take a little break for us since then!

Bad news and good...the bad news for those that have not heard is that our lead guitar player, Peter Sapia, has had to step away from the band due to personal reasons. We wish him the best in his future endeavors in life and he will forever be a member of the Big Eyed Phish family!
The good news is that with this time off, we have been able to host tryouts for a new guitar player. After hearing many good guitar players, we think we found a little gem in the rochester guitar community in our newest member: Collin Jones. Collin has attended Berkley School of Music and is known around the area as an open-mic all-star and former guitar player for the local Rochester original band "Pia Mater". While smaller in stature, we have no doubt that our fans and friends will very quickly warm up to his monster guitar ability. We will be getting him up to speed on our songs very quickly and will have him out on the stage in no time. It will be awesome to get him in front of a thousand people at Water Street Music Hall on November 19th.

With that being said - we do have some shows coming up and quite a few private parties.
First up will be Fairport's Oktoberfest! Things kick off at 4pm on Friday, October 7th....with Big Eyed Phish taking the stage at 9pm!! We will be joined by our friend and one of our fill-in guitar players, Jon Sheffer, from the band Mochester (who will also be opening the show for us at Water Street!). Earlier in the evening there will be lots of beer, authentic german food, and authentic german music! It is located at the Fairport Festival Site! (Right near the bridge, right near where we play for Fairport Music and Food Festival). Check out http://fairportpartnership.org/wp/ for more details!

Then after some private parties, we are already into November where we will be returning to one of our favorite venues - The Stone Lounge in Cortland! This will be on November 11th! Not only is it going to be an awesome time cause we get to rock out that venue - but it is also Coritca Jug...which means "huge party" in another language. Definitely not something you will want to miss! Its going to be a blast.

Then, the big show of the year at Water Street Music Hall! We will have many more details about this coming soon! Mochester will be opening the show. We learned a bit from last year and will now have only 1 opening band, and Big Eyed Phish will be going on much earlier! We think expecting people to hang out for 7 hours was a bit extreme last time. So 1 opener with a 1 hour set, then Big Eyed Phish for 2 1/2 or more hours! New songs, more songs, big crowds, lots of fun...pretty much on par for our shows! See you there!

2 big shows to end our summer!

Tuesday 30 August 2011 - 10:26:02

First up is a great new venue for us in a new area this FRIDAY, September 2nd - Greensburg, PA! For the Summer Sounds Concert Series (near Pittsburgh). We go on at 7pm and will rock out till 9:30. Check out their website for any directions or more details! http://www.summersounds.com/index.html

(click on the image to go to their facebook page!)

After that we are headed back home to Rochester, NY to rock out at the RIT Park Point Labatts Concert Series (FREE SHOW!)! This is the final one for the summer and they are getting HUGE! Be sure to get there early to get a good spot! We are going to be rocking the stage with a great local original band called Audio Influx. Check them out online here: http://www.audioinflux.net/

This will likely be our last show until November in Rochester as we plan on doing some more traveling in the fall before coming back on November 19th to rock out Water Street Music Hall again!

We are going to be changing up the setlist a bit to get some deep tracks out for the die-hard DMB fans! So if you have seen us this summer, you might want to come check us out again to hear a whole different set!! (With a couple of your favorites still included).

Hope to see a lot of friends, families, and fans!
